Cowboy Hardhat Brimming With Early Success

There's a new reason for construction workers to feel macho: The "Outlaw"™ a cowboy hardhat that is OSHA-approved.

It is the latest construction and oilfield fashion that's been sweeping the country and certain parts of the world. And it is the product of one machinist's dream come true in the petroleum and agricultural rich community of Bakersfield, California.

Because of the "Outlaw"™, Atkins was named inventor of the year at the 12th Annual Invention Convention held on the Queen Mary in Long Beach in April of 1998 beating out 400 competitors.

Although a construction worker can pick up an "Outlaw"™ for 30 bucks in a safety products store. it can also be found in Saudi Arabia for as much as $250.
